What is this?

Social change is a complex process that involves a transformation of the existing cultural, economic and political conditions of a given society. It is an intervention in the power structures, interactions and structures between humans, the environment and other actors in society, in order to create a more equal, equitable, just and sustainable world. It is beyond behaviour-level changes or individual-level alterations, rather a dialectic of disruption and reconstruction as we strive to shape new biological, ecological, economic and political relationships. As such, it demands a re-envisioning of our social order: of our cosmology, our understanding of what it means to be human and how we relate within our community and with other entities on earth.
